BusiImpose

Follow these steps and you are done in a few minutes.
1
Step 1Load the PDF you want to impose. Everything happens in your own browser: the file is not uploaded anywhere, which matters when the document is a customer's.
2
Step 2Choose how the pages should be arranged: a saddle-stitched booklet, two-up, or a set number of pages per sheet. For a booklet the order is not one, two, three. Sheet one carries the last page next to the first, because after folding and stapling they end up next to each other. The tool works that order out for you.
3
Step 3Set the sheet size and the margins. Leave room for the grippers: a press cannot print right up to the edge it holds the paper by, and how much depends on the machine. Also allow for the trim, because a booklet is cut to size after folding.
4
Step 4And then creep, which every stapled booklet suffers from. Fold a stack of sheets and the inner pages stick out further than the outer ones, by roughly the paper thickness times the number of sheets. Trim it straight and the inner margins have moved. The tool shifts each sheet a little inward beforehand, so the margins still line up after cutting.
5
Step 5The price works itself out while you design. You can change the rates yourself.
6
Step 6Download the print-ready PDF.
7
Step 7Pro members unlock the tool once through the shop. After that it works offline too.
8
Step 8Put your own prices and payment details in the shop, and share your shop link with customers.
