Step 1Open the tool. There is nothing to install, and it keeps working without internet.

Step 2Pick the vehicle type. You get a starting list of panels; every model differs, so measure the vehicle in front of you and correct the figures.

Step 3Tick the panels you are actually wrapping and set the shape of each one. The shape drives the hours far more than the size: a roof is quick, a bumper has to be heated and stretched.

Step 4Choose the film and the roll width. Cast film follows deep curves; calendered, brushed and carbon films lift off them. Printed graphics and directional films cannot be rotated, so the tool locks rotation and says why.

Step 5The nesting plan shows how the pieces lie on the roll, drawn from exactly the coordinates that were used to calculate. A piece wider than the roll gets a seam, and the tool says which panel and how many parts.

Step 6Check the hours. Application time is set per shape class, with a floor per panel, plus preparation and taking parts off. These are starting values: set your own, because everyone works at their own pace.

Step 7The price works itself out while you design. You can change the rates yourself.

Step 8Download the work sheet: the nesting plan, the panel list with hours, the metres to order and the price. Print it and take it to the workshop.

Step 9Pro members unlock the tool once through the shop. After that it works offline too.

Step 10Done, or something went wrong? Open the dashboard and start over with a clean sheet.
